Programs
Programs
The Center for Clean Hydrogen’s multidisciplinary research programs encompass a wide range of inquiry, from researching upstream chemical and material development to designing, developing, and validating devices and manufacturing processes—all with the goal of creating better materials and technology for producing green hydrogen.
Reducing the Cost of H2
Electrolyzers can convert electrical energy to hydrogen. This area of research is exploring how to efficiently and more cost-effectively generate hydrogen by improving electrolyzer performance and durability.
Fuel Cell
Fuel cells produce zero emission electricity from clean hydrogen. Our researchers are looking at ways to optimize this process, building longer-lasting and higher-performing technologies at industrial scale.
CO₂ Capture
Our researchers are currently developing electrochemical methods for direct air capture of CO₂. These methods feature high-efficiency, low-energy costs and a small footprint.
Public Seminars
Our seminar program features leading clean hydrogen experts sharing and discussing their research in an open forum. Visit our calendar for more information.
