Building
The Center for Clean Hydrogen Building
University of Delaware is currently in pre-development for a permanent building for the Center for Clean Hydrogen. The CCH building will serve as the global gateway to the hydrogen economy. CCH will be the anchor tenant and will create, build, connect, and nurture local, regional, national, and international clean hydrogen ecosystems by providing education, research, commercialization, testing, and corporate venturing services to startup, midsize, and large companies that are working to accelerate the transition to clean energy.
The Center for Clean Hydrogen’s new test facility will bring testing to scale, moving from 1kW to 15 kW, 150 kW, 300 kW and 1 MW for both PEM and AEM electrolyzers. Testing capability at up to 300 kW will be available by the end of 2024.
CCH is developing a research-grade electrolyzer stack to enable individual component testing, and setting up multi-tier test stands to evaluate short or full-size electrolyzers with advanced analysis equipment.
